San Francisco History

This week we started learning about San Francisco, beginning by sharing what we already know and asking questions about things we'd like to learn.  Boys shared great facts about neighborhoods and landmarks.  Owen explained that Golden Gate Park is bigger than Central Park, did you know that?  Based on their questions, we'll spend some time learning about Alcatraz, the Golden Gate Bridge, and the Great Quake.

Interested in San Francisco history?  Check out this great interactive map full of images throughout history based on location.  Cool!  http://www.oldsf.org/#
